Associazione seed (SEED) is a social business with the form of a non-profit organization (legally, an association), located near Lugano, Switzerland and active in the field of technologies, communication and education since 2007.
Seed was born from the belief that an adequate use of ICT and e-learning technologies can make a difference in education and training initiatives in local and international cooperation and development projects: enhancing access, allowing the creation of stable networks, and improving daily working activities can be achieved if adequate capacity building is provided. SEED is currently active in local development projects in Switzerland and Northern Italy, and also abroad (including Ecuador, Brasil and Macedonia). Such projects are based on entrepreneurship, digital storytelling for teachers and social workers empowerment, and capacity building. SEED was incubated in the Lugano start-up incubator, and out of that experience developed competences in entrepreneurship training, which were then exploited and refined in several local and international development projects.
